If we can't build it right, with quality and patience, we won't consider it.

Having recently completed our 1,000th home, we feel we know what steps are required to make sure our customer is not just satisfied - but delighted with the end result. We start with a truly custom design based on the needs and wants of the homeowner. As a Design Builder, each home is designed specifically to the budget established by the customer.

We keep up on new energy efficiency and Michigan home automation technologies and incorporate them when the application matches the need. We use the highest quality products and materials to ensure years of service, with low to no maintenance - a key for today's over stressed and over committed homeowner. To put it all together, we use solid, tried and proven engineering and design techniques, creating a house that will provide years of service.  We combine this with the latest advances including tankless hydronic heating, structural insulated panels, insulated sealed foundations and a full range of Michigan home automation options. As a result, much of our business comes from repeat customers and personal referrals. James D. Compo has spent 47 years building a well-earned reputation for delivering a consistent, quality product, within the stated budget.

Overall, we work hard to provide our customers with superior products, performance, quality and workmanship. As a result, the cost of utilities will be lower. The cost of exterior maintenance will be lower and the comfort of living in a Compo home will be higher. this is our promise to our customers.
