-Majored in Architectural Building at Lawrence Institute of Technology.
-50+ Years of innovative "hands on" experience in the building industry.
-Established
a market wide reputation as a Master Award Winning Builder.
-Specialized technician in every aspect of small commercial
and home building with personal hands on experience in all trades.
-Has served
as an expert consultant to numerous city and county inspectors
and departments regarding unique building complications.
-Has been
called as an expert to testify in court regarding building
standards and procedures
-Has been
called on by many local builders and tradesman over the years
for his expert advice in various aspects of the building trades.
-Established
"Ameri-Comp Home Inspectors" in 1987, providing an expert, local
home inspection company to the market place. In the last
20 years, 100's of homeowners, insurance companies and builders
have drawn on Ameri-Comp's detailed inspection services to
protect or certify their investments.
-James D.
Compo, Inc. has been very involved in the local Building
Industry Association of South East Michigan since the early
1970's.
-Has
generously supported fund raising efforts such as Lighthouse of
Oakland County, helping improve the local community.
-Has been
intricately involved in the building of three Habitat for
Humanity Detroit, helping families in need to realize a big part
of the American dream; home ownership.
In addition
to his numerous professional successes, Jim has enjoyed a 53
year marriage to his high school sweetheart and business
partner, Janet. They raised three sons (two of which work with
them in the business) as well as a daughter who lives in
Florida. They also have a foster son and are the proud grand
parents of 13 grand children and great grand children.
Jim has been
a pilot since 1976 and also enjoys scuba diving and traveling.
